A couple months ago I was able to get the applique done on my quilt thus completing this project! The was one of my more challenging quilts to make but certainly worth every moment after seeing the finished look. It is totally my style and I love how the pattern and fabrics compliment each other.

It is beautiful! and you can tell a LOT of work went into it.
Great job!
Wow! Just WOW! That is so amazing!! Is this your bed, btw? :) Also, how would one wash a large quilt like this? Does it have to be done professionally somehow?
You did such a lovely job. I'll bet it feels nice to have it completed! I don't think I've ever seen such an intricate design!!
It's amazing and so beautiful! Congrats! :)
I'm almost done with my queen size quilt. Just have to get it quilted now; hurray!
Thanks for the comments! :)
Tammy, no, this is not my bed. I spread the quilt out on my parents' so I could get most of the quilt top in the pic. :) Used warm and natural batting (same stuff I used in the rag quilts) and so I can just treat it like a normal quilt for washing. Will probably use the gentle cycle whenever I do go to wash it.
1. How did you first start sewing? (Did your mom teach/help you, did you teach yourself, or...??)
2. Would you rather be indoors doing inside stuff (cooking, sewing, scrapbooking, etc.) or outdoors (gardening, working with animals, etc.)?
3. What's the best thing about being an aunt? The worst thing?
4. What are your favorite kinds of gifts to receive?
5. How is your weight loss going? Any special tips or encouragement to share with me along those lines? :)

Have a blessed day!
